Colani

Colani Le Mans Prototype (1970)

One of the craziest designs ever! The car seemed to consist of two parts: a “trolley” with an engine and a cab. When creating the latest Colani was inspired by the aerodynamic forms of non-powered gliders.

The rear of the car, including the suspension and braking system, was borrowed from the Lamborghini Miura supercar. True, the V12 engine was not in it. And to be even more precise, there was no engine at all in the concept – it simply did not fit into the finished car!
